Senior season is always one of my favorite times of year to photograph. There’s something so exciting about capturing students during a season filled with celebration, change, and big dreams for what’s next.
I recently photographed two beautiful senior sessions in Orlando, and both reminded me why senior photos are so much more than just “taking pictures.”
Every senior brings something completely different to their session. Some are outgoing and confident right away, while others take a few minutes to warm up in front of the camera. Either way, my goal is always to create a relaxed experience that feels natural and fun while capturing genuine personality along the way.
These recent sessions took place during golden hour around beautiful Lake Cherokee and Downtown Orlando, which gave us the dreamiest light to work with. Golden hour is hands down my favorite time for senior photos because everything feels soft, warm, and timeless.
One thing I hear often is:
“We almost skipped senior photos.”
And honestly, I’m always so glad families decide not to.
Senior year goes by incredibly fast. Between graduation, college planning, sports, activities, and all the celebrations, this season can feel like a blur. Professional senior portraits help freeze this moment in time before life moves into the next chapter.
These photos become:
- graduation announcements
- party displays
- framed prints
- gifts for family
- memories parents hold onto forever
And years later, they become such a special reminder of exactly who your senior was during this exciting season of life.
I also love helping seniors choose locations, outfits, and timing that fit their personality and vision. Whether you want something dressy and classic, casual and fun, or more modern and editorial, senior sessions can truly be customized to reflect each graduate.
And while phones absolutely capture everyday moments, there’s something different about intentionally setting aside time to professionally document a milestone this important.
The confidence.
The excitement.
The personality.
The joy.
Those are the moments worth preserving.
If you’re looking for an Orlando senior photographer for graduation photos, I’d love to help create a session that feels relaxed, fun, and true to your senior.
Graduation season books quickly, especially spring evenings during golden hour, so reaching out early is always recommended.
I can’t wait to photograph more seniors from the Class of 2026 and celebrate such an exciting season for so many families 🤍
